Grab your tiara and your most glittering diamonds, and get ready for a wonderfully sparkling musical theatre cabaret show, brought especially to you by Ismena.
Ismena presents: Glitter and Be Gay - a guide to life
"A most enjoyable evening - 5 stars" - remotegoat.co.uk
A glamorous and glittering evening of American musical theatre, jazz and cabaret songs, with a sprinkling of good advice thrown in!
Singer/Agony Aunt Sara Cluderay offers life guidance, through a rogues' gallery of characters: tragic femmes fatales, fallen heroines and gutsy gals, with cellist Mayda Narvey and Katharine Woolley at the piano, and special guests. Advice is also available for any audience members with a problem* - Sara will be happy to help you work through your issues, but does she have any problems of her own?....
With special guests Justin Brett, Donovan Chapman-Smith and Aaron Newland-Bentley.
Featuring music by Kurt Weill, Rodgers & Hammerstein, contemporary composers Maury Yeston, Zina Goldrich, Andrew Lippa and Jason Robert Brown, and of course, the flamboyant and virtuosic title song from Leonard Bernstein's Candide. A must-see for divas of both sexes!
The show was recently performed at London's Battersea Barge, as a double bill with Stud & Babe: A Love Less Ordinary, featuring actor and singer Brodie Bass.
